Spring 2006
Happy spring (even though it’s snowing in Durango as I write this). I know it’s been awhile, but I’ve been hard at work on the new book, so I’m just crawling out of my cave to say a quick hello. The website has been updated with some new things, among them a 1999 short story written at UNC-Chapel Hill, which grew into DESERT PLACES. And I just finished an interview with Pete Garceau, the designer of the LOCKED DOORS cover, so that should be appearing on the website in the next few days.
I hope to have the new book finished some time in May, and at that point, website updating will occur with greater frequency. I’m even toying around with the possibility of doing a blog for the duration of the editing, marketing, and publicity process, though to be honest, I’m not in love with the idea. There’s so many of them out there already. So I’ll throw it out to my faithful readers. Would you like a blog? What do you want to know about?
I hope wherever you’re reading this, that spring is warmer for you than it is for me.
Take care, Blake
